John H. Perkins,
President
After completing the Construction Management curriculum at Boise
State University, John started his career in construction as a
quality control representative for a general contractor performing
numerous building projects for the US Army Corps of Engineers. This
position afforded him exposure to nearly every component of
construction, while under the stringent requirements of the Corps of
Engineers. After becoming a seasoned project manager and completing
many successful projects, John decided in 1988 to create Perkins
Construction, Inc. The company started with small projects and
continued up the ladder to larger projects.
Christine Sunday, Project Manager
Christine started as a
teenager in construction and has developed an extensive background.
Her experience ranges from accounting, job costing, estimating, and
project management. With her
twenty plus years experience and organizational skills she has the
expertise to successfully bid and manage a wide range of projects.
Christine is
presently the project manager on a $2.5 million project for the
Military. She has been with Perkins Construction, Inc. since
February of 2006.
John Herron,
General Superintendent
John devoted eight years in the US Marine Corp and was meritoriously
promoted three times. Prior to moving to Idaho, John founded and
successfully ran his own full service landscape construction
business in California. John has worked for Perkins Construction,
Inc. for over 15 years and is responsible for larger projects and
the general oversight of all work in progress.
Chuck Olson,
Superintendent
Chuck has been with Perkins Construction, Inc. from the beginning
having worked on our first project twenty years ago. He is a classic
example of someone who has learned the construction business by
“hands on” experience, starting when he was a young man working for
his Father. He is experienced in equipment operation, concrete work,
finish carpentry and everything in between including wood and steel
framing, steel erection, commercial door and hardware installation
and all finishes. His background is invaluable for supervising
construction processes.
Tim Johnson (TJ),
Superintendent
Thirty-five years in the commercial construction industry has
afforded TJ with a wealth of experience and knowledge. He is very
detail oriented and has strict command of his projects. Architects
and Engineers respect his reputation for producing first-class
results. TJ completed a project for the Idaho Department of Lands at
which time the punch list inspection by the Architects, Engineers,
and Owner’s Representative turned up zero items needing corrective
action.
James Cliff,
Estimator/Project Manager
James administers a multi-year contract with Boise State University,
and has completed many projects under this contract including
numerous science laboratory renovations, parking lots, and utility
replacements and extensions. As an estimator, James has successfully
bid projects offered by various government entities, such as the
Idaho Department of Public Works, and Military.
Vaughn
Milburn, Estimator/Project Manager
Vaughn entered the construction industry in 1979
and has stayed through out his career, with the exception of a four
year stint in the US Army.
Early in his career he was a hands-on construction worker.
His experience includes concrete forming, installation,
finishing including rebar placement, additionally he wood framed
custom homes and assembled log homes.
In 1992 Vaughn entered into the management realm of the
industry as a project superintendent and graduated upward until
becoming a project manager.
Vaughn has been with Perkins Construction, Inc. since January
of 2008 as a project cost estimator and project manager.
He is working towards a degree in Project Management.
Joe Perkins,
Superintendent
Having worked for the company since he was 14 years old, Joe has
developed into a very good supervisor for steel building projects
and large landscape projects. As he acquires more experience, he
will graduate to larger and more complex projects.
Tamie Klemann,
Project Assistant
Tamie has been involved with commercial construction for over 20
years, having worked for Zoning and Real Estate Attorneys,
Architects, General Contractors, Developers, Engineers, and
Subcontractors. Tamie has a broad knowledge and understanding of
many aspects of our industry, including, extensive experience with
contract administration and paperwork associated with large
commercial projects from inception through completion. Tamie
understands the importance of good teamwork in providing our clients
with first-rate customer service.
